How To Request Social Security Earnings Information From The U.S. Government

You now have instant access to your Social Security Statement at any time. You will no longer receive one periodically in the mail so the government saves money and takes further steps to go green. The United States Social Security Administration now asks you to set up your account online at this link: https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/.

Your U.S. Social Security Account enables you to 1) Make a request for a replacement card
2) Receive your U.S. Social Security Statement to review for future retirement, disability, and survivors benefits 3) View your wage earnings once a year to verify the amounts that are posted are correct 4) State the estimated Social Security and Medicare taxes you have paid 5) Check the status of your Social Security application or appeal.

You are also entitled to receive U.S. Social Security Benefit Verification Letter stating that:

1)You never received Social Security benefits, Supplemental Security Income(SSI) or Medicare; or 2) you received benefits in the past but do not currently receive them 3) You applied for benefits but have not received an answer yet.

You can only create a U.S. Social Security Account using your own personal information. You cannot create or use an account on behalf of another person, even if you have that person’s written permission. You can also request a certified copy of your personal U.S. Social Security Statement at this link.
