Notify your employer you want to set up a HSA. For 2013, annual contribution for self, under 55 is $3250, over 55 is $4250. For Family coverage, the appropriate numbers are $6450 and $7450.
Minimum annual deductibles are self-$1250, Family, $2500. Max annual deductible and out-of-pocket expense limits: Self $6250; Family $12500.
This is a tax-exempt or custodial account set up with a qualified HSA trustee to pay or reimburse certain medical expenses, not reimbursed by insurance, for the member or dependent.
