My team successfully filed the first Service Tax Amnesty Scheme (VCES) application today for a Mumbai client, a lot many to follow across India... VCES has been recently introduced by the Federal Government allowing Service Tax defaulters to pay off their unpaid ServiceTax dues for the period 1st October, 2007 - 31st Dec, 2012 by making an application under the scheme. Payment can be made in two instalments by 31st Dec, 2013 and 30th June 2014. Full waiver from interest and penalty available under VCES.
