Samsung DS HQ Americas is hiring a Tax Analyst - SALT to closely assist the Tax Department to ensure the company meets its tax compliance obligations. Candidate is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities including data gathering, analysis, filing, reporting and communications relating to Samsung’s tax environment. This individual will play a critical role in managing all local and state non-income tax filings as well as indirect/transactional tax reporting processes with the ability to work independently and make independent decisions. This individual must have the ability to visualize the bigger picture for collecting and analyzing data from separate sources to obtain a cohesive data set for tax reporting purposes and be able to explain complex tax issues in a simple, clear and concise manner. Must have a get-it-done attitude – we are multinational. This person will prepare responses to inquiries, tax notices and audit requests from taxing authorities. The candidate should drive to meet monthly and quarterly tax filing deadlines, be detail oriented and accurate with a strong commitment to quality. Tax knowledge and experience is required, as well as exceptional communication skills and the ability to interface with multiple groups outside the tax function with a desire to learn and grow in other areas of Tax. This person will be groomed to lead SALT for the Company. Must have a get-it-done attitude – we are multinational.
