I retired in 2011 and have since misplaced my W-2 Form. What is the best way to get a new W-2 Form or documentation of this W-2 Form from 2011? Do I have to get it from my past employer? What is the employer is no longer in business? How do I get a copy of the W-2 Form?

Several ways to do so if your former employer can't provide you one. If there is an IRS service center in your area you can walk in and request a wage and income transcript. If not go to IRS.gov and submit a form 4506T requesting the same. Lastly, as long as you still live at the last address the IRS has on file for you, you can call 1-800-829-1040 and request one be mailed to you. It is important to specify you want a wage and income transcript.
