The noncustodial parent may claim the dependent exemption and the Child Tax Credit if certain requirements are met. The custodial parent will claim the Earned Income Credit, Head of Household filing status, and child and dependent care expenses. The non-custodial parent MUST also have Form 8332 [to be signed by the custodial parent].
