Professional Summary
I spent 13 years at Arthur Andersen & Co, in the tax department / liaison to small businesses. This gave me a strong background in dealing with complicated individual situations. After leaving Arthur Andersen I opened a small boutique practice along with becoming the CEO of a pension administration company that was ultimately sold. I decided to branch out and bought some tax preparation franchises, which was a decision that ranks first in my list of stupid life choices, but it did give me
insight as to the bad practices that occur as well as how our education system has failed in teaching people how to evaluate financial decisions. Other areas of my practice include non-profits, particularly 501 (c)(6) organizations who need to gain exempt status, as well as keeping them exempt. I also am an expert witness doing litigation support in divorces and some business fraud areas. I believe in personal contact and service so my practice is intentionally small so that a clientis not just a number.
