Vice President Global Tax
Corporation - Publicly-Held
2009 - 2019
Led tax initiatives that lowered the company’s overall effective tax rate by more than 20 percentage points from approximately 33% to approximately 7% on a Non-GAAP basis over my tenure, including transforming the company’s IP holding company structure and transfer pricing structure and negotiating unilateral US APA and various bilateral APA associated with the new structure.
Additional Accomplishments Include:
• Worked extensively on large acquisitions, including finalized plan for an inversion and out-from understructure involving the Netherlands, US, and Singapore, ultimately abandoned because of anti-trust.
• Negotiated beneficial tax incentives in several countries including Singapore, and Israel.
• Resolved major tax audits with various countries (i.e., US, Singapore, Italy, Switzerland, and Israel) resulting in favorable settlements.
• Assembled a strong compliance and planning team (33 global team members with 5 directors reporting me) and
equally strong advisory team.
• Held quarterly meetings with the company’s Audit Committee and additional special meetings when new planning initiatives and tax planning around acquisitions required them.
