As a qualified IRS Enrolled Agent, I have earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accounting and passed the CPA exam in 2002. Additionally, I am a licensed health and life insurance sales agent.
My client work includes a wide range of responsibilities including payroll accounting for a trucking corporation and a manufacturer; Multi-state sales and business taxation for a Washington manufacturer; Dealt with trucking company vehicle and fuel taxation issues and set up corporations and sole proprietorship's in Washington, Oregon, and Arizona. As a Corporate Staff Accountant working on a team, we set up a Texas corporation and contracting with the sales and payroll taxing authorities in Arizona, Colorado and California. .
Experienced in continuing tax education seminars on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in 2014 and on the Taxation of Non-Qualified Annuities (in 2016). Also taught my accounting students (in the Cayman Islands) about the fundamentals of US taxation as well as the differences between US accounting and accounting in Europe and elsewhere.
I lived overseas for about 18 years and know how to deal with overseas earned and unearned income for US global taxation. The U.S. and Luxemburg are the only two countries with global taxation. I am familiar with the Know Your Customer training banks in the Cayman Islands had to give their employees.
