Responsible for overseeing team of researchers in the state, local, property, sales and use tax compliance area. We respond to client inquiries regarding research, taxability and nexus issues. Develop and create processes for the research support services team.

Overseeing a tax research team while monitoring potential tax law changes and their impact on our clients businesses. Process and manage client refuns requests and registrations. Develop training for research analysts to ensure team is up-to-date on tax laws, rules and legislation proposed or enacted.

Support the Sales/Use Compliance function by conducting tax research, oversee exemption certificate projects and supervise exemption certificate team, oversee associate compliance analyst by delegating tasks as needed, act as backup compliance supervisor when needed, and other projects such as registrations, refund claims, and renewals.

Assisting for-profit educational facilities receive property tax exempt status with the state of Indiana; processed all tax appeals and represented the organization during tax hearings.

Created all neighborhood boundaries within Washington Township based on similar property type and value for the reassessment; supervised a team of four deputies and one clerk to assist with gathering property sales information in order to create new assessment values for each neighborhood; processed all property tax appeals for Washington Township, including representing the township during tax hearings; assisted taxpayers when needed.
