This week we are honoring Annette Nellen.
Annette Nellen CPA, ESQ., is a professor and director of San Jose State University’s graduate tax program (MST), teaching courses in tax research, accounting methods, property transactions, state taxation, employment tax, ethics, tax policy, tax reform, and high technology tax issues.
Annette chairs the AICPA Individual Taxation Technical Resource Panel and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Tax Section of the California Bar. Before her move to San Jose State University, Annette had worked with Ernst & Young and the IRS.
For many years, Annette has focused research, writings, and presentations on tax policy and reform at the federal, multistate and California levels. She has written several papers on various aspects of tax policy and reform with the hopes of helping to promote serious discussion of how tax systems can be modernized and made to follow the principles of good tax policy.
