Tax Director Tax (Baltimore, Maryland)- Interesting 3 Year Lead Tax Role

The Tax Director will be responsible for directing and managing all tax compliance and tax reporting with international, federal, state and local authorities including quarterly and annual tax provision. The Tax Director will also be responsible for the following:

  • Direct and manage the preparation and review of the worldwide tax compliance and income tax provision including the preparation of the ASC 740 calculations, current and deferred analysis, technical review of tax accounting positions (FIN48, 123R, FAS141R purchase accounting, valuation allowance analysis APB 23 Assertion), tax account reconciliations and return-to-provision reconciliation.
  • Perform quarterly and annual tax reporting and tax closing processes including SEC reporting obligations.
  • Participate in tax due diligence including documentation of the proper accounting and analysis of the tax effects of acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Provide accurate technical research memos regarding quarterly/yearend events.
  • Provide tax support across all business units, including headquarters and regions.
  • Monitor tax legislation and effectively communicate relevant developments to management and business units worldwide.

The Tax Director role requires an individual with a minimum of fifteen years combined corporate and public accounting experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required with a CPA and a Masters or other advanced degree preferred. Strong written, verbal and leadership skills are necessary including the ability to communicate effectively with senior management.

Tax Manager (Pleasanton, CA)

The Tax Manager role requires tax consulting experience and the skills to effectively diagnose clients’ needs in order to develop and implement solutions. Primary responsibilities involve tax compliance, tax accounting, tax research and planning projects for sophisticated clientele. Experience in U.S. federal, international, state and local tax and tax provision is desired in this role. We will build upon your technical strengths in order to grow your expertise in other tax areas.   • Determine and monitor estimated income tax payments to minimize clients’ federal and state income taxes.
  • Identify, develop, and implement timely federal, international, state, and local tax planning strategies in order to effectively enhance clients’ tax position.
  • Provide well-written and documented conclusions for tax positions recommended to clients.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline tax processes.
  • Prepare tax research, planning, compliance, and documentation required for tax filings and tax audits.
  • Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation and regulations and communicate relevant information to clients.

The Tax Manager role requires a minimum of five to ten years tax experience with a solid working knowledge of corporate, partnership and individual taxation. A BS/BA in Accounting, a CPA and/or MST required. Due to the continued growth of this tax practice, the firm will consider candidates with a wide range of tax experience including federal, state, local, international tax compliance and research, and tax provision and tax audits. Our global consulting client seeks a Tax Partner, Transfer Pricing to lead and manage the transfer pricing team on all tax planning initiatives and tax strategy for clients. The Tax Partner, Transfer Pricing will coordinates with external advisors and regional colleagues to manage the execution of the transfer pricing policies, compliance, and documentation. They will also be responsible for identifying planning opportunities for the tax efficient growth of clients business operations.
