Hello, I’m James McBrearty.

Now there’s been an interesting report about HMRC increasing the number of call center staff. And the statistics show that the in 2011 only 48 percent of calls to HNRC call centers were actually answered. In 2012 then it was up to 74% but there’s still a large number of people that are not able to get through to HMRC. It’s important to consider the cost of your own time, if you are hanging on the phone or not able to get through.

Now that is one of areas where a professional adviser can help. Because what happens is, with a professional adviser, we’ve got direct lines, outside the public lines into HMRC. So if there are any queries that need to be answered, if we do need to contact HMRC. We can actually get through much quicker. Also, it could be, if it is a straight forward query, we can usually answer it ourselves. Meaning that you do not have to hang on the phone with HMRC for a long time.

So if you know of anyone with any tax queries that they’re are looking to get answered but haven’t been able to get through. Please do put them in touch. I offer no charge initial meeting and we can chat through any queries they’ve got. I’ll answer those straight away, without any waiting.
