AVOID PENALTIES – Get Income Tax Extension Requests Filed & Estimated Income Taxes Paid

Remember your US Income Tax extension request is ONLY for additional TIME to FILE your tax forms, your income tax payments, estimated or otherwise, are still due April 18th 2016.

Most US Taxpayers forget that income tax payments are due in April, even if an extension request for more time to file the forms has been accepted.  Resist the urge to bury your head in the sand, penalties quickly add up.

Yes there are several different types of penalties that together are tantamount to organized extortion IMHO. Get the extension request filed and take the time to estimate a reasonable payment to both the US Treasury and your respective state taxing authority on or before April 18th 2016.

My team and I are presently offering personalized opinions of what your estimated federal and state income tax payments ‘should’ be as part of filing your extension requests to file the forms.

Be sure to hit us up for a complementary consultation.

In 2016 the due date is April 18th due to Emancipation Day recognition closing Washington on April 15th. Emancipation Day is a holiday in Washington DC to mark the anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Act, signed into law by president Abraham Lincoln on April 16, 1862.
