Will the IRS accept this? Due to a provider error the 401K withholding will not be 20%. They included after tax money when I asked that they don't. But the fix will make the 401K withholding less than 20%. Should I make an additional withdrawal and withhold enough to cover the 20%
This will be for 2022 taxes. I don't really know what the fix is, but I assume it will adjust the % withheld to match the total to the actual $'s distributed.
They won't tell me until I get the 1099 next tax time. I suppose I could do another withdrawal and withhold to cover the 20%.
