It seems to me by your statement that your sister has no health insurance coverage through her employer. If she does, most of her expenses should be covered. If she does not have coverage
she will be allowed to deduct the amount that exceeds 10% of Adjusted Gross Income. However,
the amount reported as an itemized medical deduction must be paid . If she has to pay the bills herself, she should try to negotiate the fees down. An installment payment plan would work as well.
