My ex-husband depleted my life insurance policy in 2019 using forgery and his contact details to take loans in my name. I filed separately for my 2019 taxes and paid what I actually owed the IRS which was $4,000. The tax liability incurred in my name for the theft from my life policy was $22,000.

I got a 12 week extension to resolve the issue, but was made critically ill during this time. I now have until 3/25 to pay $18,000 or a lien will be imposed. I am permanently handicapped, and cannot work.I am 69 years old. $900 in SS a mo. I do have a inheritance fund I live on, but it is all I have for life. Please help me resolve this.
