I have received emails from the IRS requesting personal and financial information? How should I handle this as I am not comfortable providing this information?

The IRS does not send emails requesting personal or financial information. They normally issue a letter to your home address (usually the address used on your last tax return). Do not give personal or financial information over the internet or by phone. What you received in your email was most likely issued by someone trying to steal your information. Remember, do not put your social security number on ANY social media sites.
