I am a US citizen - living as a permanent resident in BC, married to a Canadian Citizen. I am eligible to become a dual citizen now.. should I? Are there FURTHER tax implications. I already file US and Canadian taxes (married filing separately)wondering if I should go for dual citizenship?

I hold all of my financial holdings in the US - I don't have any accounts in Canada other than joint checking and savings with my husband in Canada. Should I take my name off the banking accounts? Is there any further drawbacks to becoming a dual citizen or should I just remain a permanent resident?
