All Massachusetts Personal Property tax returns are due to be submitted by March 1 each year to the local taxing jurisdiction. They can easily be extended to March 31.
RE: which particular assets to report however varies widely depending on how the business is organized. E.g., if the business is organized as a S or C corporation and registered to do business in MA, then there are a significant number to tax exemptions available to the taxpayer. If the business is an LLC, LLP, Sole Proprietor, etc. then the property tax exposure is substantially greater.
