Hello,
My friend overseas is creating a kickstarter campaign and he will input his US registered business EIN number into the online form. He needs a US citizen to act as the company contact inside the kickstarter campaign, and if he uses my name, he has to input the last 4 digit of my social and provide a scan of my US drivers license. My question is -- am I liable for US taxes by doing this? At first I thought not, because he provides his US business EIN, but now I am not sure because I am giving my contact info and last four digits of social -- am I liable for taxes? thanks
