Having both foreign and domestic income as an American expat living abroad and Obamacare.

I am an American living abroad and meet the requirements for the residency or presence test for the foreign income exclusion I think. I know a US citizen must pay taxes on any income earned stateside. However, my concern is Obamacare and considering making money with an online self employment in the US. Can I do that without having to pay an Obamacare penalty?

If you are a US citizen or resident alien abroad and you meet the bona fide resident test or the physical presence test, you are considered to have essential minimum coverage under the Act and will not be required get affordable health care insurance or pay the penalty under the PPACA for the month or months that you qualify for either of these tests.
