Yes, on September 30, 2014, the Department of Treasury issued Final Treasury Regulations relating to the deductibility of expenses for lodging when an individual is not traveling away from home (i.e., local lodging). The Final Treasury Regulations affect taxpayers who pay or incur local lodging expenses and are effective October 1, 2014.
