As of April 7th of 2015, New York State’s Excelsior Jobs Program is highly anticipated to be expanded to include music production through a Empire State Music Production Tax Credit. Administered by the Empire State Development Corporation (ESD), Excelsior provides for tax credits to strategic businesses such as software development, biotech, agriculture and manufacturing that create jobs or make significant capital investments.
