As a small business I have been told that my company qualifies for a Small Business Health Tax Credit going back to 2010. Can you explain this to me?

Small businesses that pay for their employees healthcare coverage may be able to claim the Small Business Health Care Tax Credit.
To be eligible you must cover at least 50% of the cost of single (not family) health care coverage for each of your employees. You must have fewer than 25 full-time equivalent employees (FTE) Basically two half time employees that work 20 hour a week each would equal one FTE. Those FTE's must have average wages of less than $50,000 per year.
The credit is on a sliding scale. The smaller the business the larger the credit.
You use Form 8941 to claim the credit (www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8941.pdf)
