• Liaised with Dover Corporate on legal entity simplification, restructuring operations cross-border, conducting repatriation of cash, and assessing loan restructuring, reducing cash taxes and tax and financial statement compliance requirements.
• Elected a change in accounting method on the Wayne U.S. stand-alone 2016 return, generating an immediate cash tax savings of $2M and doubling the research and development tax credit to $700K over 2015.
• Directed tax integration into Dover primarily centered on the tax provision reporting under ASC 740 and ASC 805.

• Executed cross-functional collaboration, regarding best options for cash repatriation, loan restructuring (generating increased interest deductibility, lowering cash taxes), changes in business model, and review of potential and executed business acquisitions.
• Streamlined global tax provision process under ASC 740 (10 countries), utilizing upgraded tax provision software, generating at least a 50% reduction in time and work by the financial controllers and tax team.
• Managed the global transfer pricing function, including drafting cross-border intercompany agreements and overseeing the completion of the outsourced transfer pricing reports, decreasing tax audit risks.
• Spearheaded the outsourced global income tax and sales and use tax compliance engagements (including review) with 3rd-party firms.
• Oversaw various sales and use tax audits, reducing initial assessments between 50-100%.
• Directed tax integration into separate company reporting out of GE, in various facets of taxation, including income tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and tax reporting into the financials.

• Established internal preparation of the U.S. consolidated and state income and franchise tax returns (filed in all states) that were previously outsourced, allowing the tax team to be enlarged, leading to improved accuracy of tax reporting into the financial statements.
• Facilitated team collaboration regarding legal entity restructuring and tax planning with both in-house tax group and outside counsel.
• Provided oversight for former subsidiary compliance (federal and international for Dresser-Rand), IRS audit requests, outsourced sales and use tax compliance, sales and use tax audits, annual reports, etc.
