In 1964 I took a course at the Canadian School of Tax Accounting at the behest of my father so that I could help him out on his tax returns. After that course and a tax return or two later, I was hooked in and essentially have never looked back. I studied accounting from 1967 - 1970 via correspondence courses, and by 1972 I found myself doing tax returns on a private basis for an assortment of clients (i.e. people not my family).

Eventually personal tax returns and accounting turned into more studies of corporate taxation, which ultimately turned into a Vice-President position at a transportation company where in addition to various accounting duties, I was responsible for daily operations.

In 1988 I left my VP position to embark on my own enterprises, and a life of entrepreneurship. I started my own accounting firm with a focus on accounting and taxation, and rapidly created a broad-base of clients from across all sectors of industry.

In 1996 I purchased a franchise to consolidate and operate the business under and grew that business into three flourishing locations.

Today, I continue to do what I love which is to help business owners keep their accounting in order so they can focus on the business of running their business.
