KDP lead tax accountant for compliance, reconciliation, research, and advisement regarding Canadian VAT taxes: GST, HST, and QST.

Responsible for reconciling various U.S. sales tax accounts, all Canadian VAT tax accounts and all Unclaimed Property accounts. Also responsible for booking adjusting entries connected to these accounts.

Perform monthly compliance for sales tax for one of the main KDP business units.

Group Administrator and Compliance Lead for Unclaimed Property - I coordinate the company-wide annual and monthly escheatment process.

Advise AP, AR and Payroll claims for KDP’s company-wide due diligence process. I approve the claims from California’s due diligence activities.

Upgraded our unclaimed property software from Ryan Tracker Classic to Ryan Tracker Pro in 2017.

Super-user of the Ryan’s Tracker Pro unclaimed property software program. I customize reports for Excel downloads for managerial and reconciliation analysis.

Coordinated lobbying efforts of COST with KDP’s governmental affairs dept. which changed Delaware’s unclaimed property laws. As a member of the COST unclaimed property task force, my help saved our company over $600K in additional audit fees during Kelmar’s Delaware audit.

Lead and manage the process for reclaiming KDP’s own unclaimed property with outside consultant groups.

Open to new opportuinties including remote availability for a full time position in indirect tax.
